ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Upon your arrival in Moshi, a picturesque town located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will be greeted by our friendly team at Kilimanjaro International Airport. They will transfer you to a comfortable hotel for a well-deserved rest before embarking on your thrilling climb.

Day 2: Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Cave Camp

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the Umbwe Gate, the starting point of our journey. The trek will begin through dense rainforest, offering a glimpse of the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Our experienced guides will lead you on a gradual ascent through the lush forest to reach the Umbwe Cave Camp at an altitude of approximately 2,850 meters. Day 3: Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco Camp

Today, we continue our ascent, leaving the forest behind and entering the moorland zone. The trail becomes steeper as we approach Barranco Camp, located at approximately 3,950 meters. Along the way, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Kibo and Shira peaks. After a satisfying dinner, take some time to relax and prepare for the challenges ahead.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

The fourth day takes us on a memorable hike through the scenic Barranco Wall, an exhilarating section that requires some scrambling. Our experienced guides will provide you with support and encouragement to navigate this part safely. As we descend from the Barranco Wall, we will traverse across several valleys before reaching Karanga Camp at around 4,200 meters. Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

On this day, we continue our climb towards Barafu Camp, situated at an altitude of about 4,600 meters. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, we will provide you with a thorough briefing and preparation for the summit push. Rest and nourish yourself with a hearty dinner before the early start of the summit.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Mweka Camp

At midnight, we start our ascent to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – Uhuru Peak, standing tall at 5,895 meters, the highest point in Africa. The trek is challenging, but with determination and guidance from our experienced guides, you will conquer the summit just in time for a magnificent sunrise. Take some time to celebrate this incredible achievement and capture lifelong memories before descending back to Barafu Camp. After a short rest and meal, we will continue the descent to Mweka Camp, located at around 3,100 meters, for our final campsite on the mountain.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Return to Moshi

On the last day of our expedition, we will descend through the lush rainforest from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate. Our team will be there to congratulate you on your successful climb and present you with a certificate of achievement. From Mweka Gate, we will transfer you back to Moshi, where you can enjoy a well-deserved hot shower and rest. Celebrate your accomplishment with a farewell dinner and reflect on the incredible journey you've experienced.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, it's time to bid farewell to Tanzania. Our team will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure home or your next adventure.
